Welcome to Alton Cycling Club

We are a friendly, easy-going club and encourage anyone thinking of joining to come along to a few club rides first to meet the other members.  All Sunday rides start at The Butts at 9am and are shown on the Rides Schedule.  Please email the Club Secretary first and arrive at around 8.45am so you can meet other members and join the appropriate group.

The Adult (senior) membership is for any adult aged 18 to 64 and the Adult (senior second claim) membership is for any adult who is already a racing member of another club.  Adult (aged 65 and above) is a reduced rate membership from age 65.  Couple is a reduced rate membership for two adults.

For new members joining in one of these four Adult categories we offer a discount of £18 off Club Kit.  This is available for twelve months from the date of joining the club.  See the Membership Benefits page for more information about this and other benefits. 

The Adult (Veloline) membership is a free introductory annual membership we offer in partnership with Veloline, our local bike shop in Farringdon (veloline.co.uk). This is for adults who have purchased a new bike for themselves from Veloline and would like to see if they enjoy riding with the club.  This is only available to new members and does not include the discount of £18 off Club Kit.

There are no membership fees for Juniors (aged 16 to 17) or Students (aged 18 to 25).   To be eligible for Student membership, you must be aged 18 to 25 and either (1) a student in your last year at school or sixth-form college or (2) completing an apprenticeship or undergraduate degree course.  The discount of £18 off Club Kit is not included in these memberships.
