Founded in 2007, the Hand Engravers Association is a small non-profit organisation supporting and promoting a diverse range of hand engraving on metal, including but not limited to engraving of trophies, jewellery, seals and guns, artistic engraving and engraving for enamel work.
The Association is run by volunteers and a small number of paid part time staff using income from membership, donations, events and grants. The Association receives no government funding.
We welcome members who are professional engravers, student engravers, engraving workshops, companies that use engravers and of course anyone with a keen interest in this heritage craft skill.
Our remit is to support and promote hand engraving in Great Britain but we gladly accept international members.
